shelter of hope - vision

From this encounter with Joseph Tamae the idea of the project 'Shelter of Hope' was born. It's a daycare centre where orphans in pre-school ages between one to six will be looked after. They receive a nutricious meal and are lovingly taught biblical life priciples through playing, singing and stories. The 2005 christmas project of the Swiss Pentecostel Mission allowed the construction of the first shelter. There are currently 5 shelter of hope care centers with 20 children each up and running.

The bible verse from Psalm 68:5-6 is applied in a practical sense and brings hope and future. It is written: "A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.
God sets the lonely in families,..." - a shelter!

So far there are four Shelter of Hope daycare centres in use. Our goal is to care and nurture these orphans and at the same time support and strengthen their family structure. They are cared for during the day and return to their home to their relatives or foster parents.
